Haskins & Associates specializes in tax and estate planning, audits of nonprofit organizations (tax exempt), and small business consultation. The firm is a member of the AICPA Division for CPA firms (Private Sector) and participates in the AICPA Division for CPA Firms PCPS Peer Review program.

Stephen P. Haskins, CPA

Stephen P. Haskins CPA, is the sole shareholder of the accounting firm of Haskins & Associates. The firm is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado, a suburb of Denver.

Mr. Haskins graduated Summa Cum Laude from Doane College (Crete, Nebraska) with a B. A. in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA) and has been contracted by both the CSCPA and AICPA to perform peer reviews of Other CPA firms on their behalf.

With over 30 years of experience, he oversees the accounting and auditing functions for the firm. He has been involved with various small businesses and is knowledgeable in business planning and taxation. He has also been involved with the accounting and preparation of income, estate and gift tax returns for estates and trusts.

Mr. Haskins has written several articles regarding nonprofit organizations, many of which have been published in local client newsletters and national magazines. He is very active with his church and has served on committees at the local, regional and national levels.

Sandra L. Shaneyfelt, CPA

Sandra L. Shaneyfelt, is a CPA with Haskins & Associates. She graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Master of Professional Accountancy degree, emphasis in taxation. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ms. Shaneyfelt has over 20 years of experience as an auditor and specializes in tax preparation and research for the firm. Earlier experience included owning and operating a small business, which required accounting for transactions, purchases, and inventory, and filing required tax forms. She also managed the financial activities for a nonprofit organization.

Ms. Shaneyfelt serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Villages at Castle Rock, Metropolitan District No. 7.
